From the first dance class to advanced training, our aim is to provide high-quality teaching in an encouraging environment where every dancer can progress at their own pace.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE NCAD:

North Cheam Academy of Dance provides efficient, up to date, enjoyable and safe instruction in classical, theatre and freestyle dance, using qualified and experienced staff. Our conscientious training has helped pupils to progress to professional performing employment; teaching qualifications and jobs; university dance and related degrees, and professional vocational dance training. 

 

 

We want to be fully inclusive, and so examinations are always optional. In order to progress through the classes without taking a formal pupils should demonstrate that they have achieved the technical requirements needed in order to study the next grade or level.

EXAMINATION OPPORTUNITIES: 

​

We are fully registered active teachers with the main UK providers of Dance Examinations -

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Rambert Grades and the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). Examinations and medal tests are arranged as soon as the students and children are ready to demonstrate and celebrate their achievements.

Shows and other performance opportunities:

​

We produce a whole school bi-annual summer show for all students.

On alternate years we produce a smaller “sharing of work”.

Additionally, NCAD events include holiday workshops and courses.
